Why this matters

Girls are leaving sports at higher rates than boys, often during the years when confidence and identity are still forming.

Nationally, girls drop out of sports at nearly twice the rate of boys by adolescence, not because of a lack of ability, but because of limited access, inconsistent support, and environments that do not always prioritize their development.

At the same time, many girls are navigating systems that do not fully invest in their growth. Opportunities that connect athletics to identity, exposure, and long-term development remain limited, particularly in communities where resources are uneven.

In cities like Philadelphia, the talent is present. The potential is clear. What is often missing is intentional structure, consistent investment, and spaces where girls are encouraged to see themselves beyond the game.

88 Solez was created in response to that gap.

This work is not only about keeping girls in sports. It is about ensuring they are supported in a way that allows them to grow with confidence, understand who they are, and expand what they believe is possible for their lives.

When that happens, the impact extends far beyond the court

We blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.
